We wrote to you earlier in the year to encourage you to book your training early if your driver qualification card (DQC) is due to expire this September and you still have some of your hours to do.
Knowing how many hours you have left, which courses are best to do and why there are so many drivers with cards running out at the same time can be confusing.
To help to answer all of these questions, we spoke to Bob Hannigan, Head of National Standards and Accreditation at DVSA, who has given us his thoughts in our latest blog post on Driver CPC training.
The planned reforms for a periodic test to replace the 35 hours of training have not come into force, so affected drivers must make sure they complete their 35 hours of training through the current process before their card expires. More details about this can be found on GOV.UK.
